How it all began...

In December 2006, five enthusiastic Irish dancers - Vilma, Daniel, Sandra, Mel and Stephi - were looking for a new challenge. During a Christmas get-together, the plans for a show group were hatched. Donald MacDonald lent a helping hand with the search for an appropriate name, and so the veteran dance students "Girls on Tour" became Fealla-dhà - cheerfulness!

The young group earned its first merits at the performance for Paddy's Friday on March 16th and 17th 2007 in Rüsselsheim. Of course, the enthusiasm of the audience was a great incentive for continuing. With great motivation we worked on new steps and choreographies. At the same time, we started looking for new recruits.

By now, many other enhusiastic dancers have joined the group. Our numbers have grown to more than twice our initial strength. Our practice sessions twice a week are a lot of fun, but of course we are also ambitious, always under the watchful eyes of our dance captain Stephi.

The first performance in Rüsselsheim was followed by many others, both at public events ant private parties. One of the highlights was the charity ball "Fealla-dhà & friends", which was organised by us in support of a children's home in Sri Lanka.
